The BYM 2014 team traveled to the village of Hoyo de Perez in Altamira. Hoyo de Perez is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Santiago. Our volunteers built a bridge and a makeshift clinic. There are approximately 110 families in Hoyo de Perez. Their livelihood comes from agriculture, mainly cacao, coffee and avocado.

In addition, the bridge also assists another 700 families that live in the vicinity of Hoyo de Perez. The bridge is approximately 120' feet long and 14 feet wide.
