As a Junior at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, this summer I will be participating in my school's annual youth mission to the Dominican Republic. We will be traveling to "La Colonia", a remote village in need of sufficient water supply to support the basic needs of its community. Together with my classmates, I will be working hard to help lay down 4.5 miles of pipe to replace the existing non-functioning aqueduct, which is over 40 years old, and provide clean water to this rural area. The new system will also include two water tanks with the capacity to hold 20,000 gallons of water and generate hydroelectric power. Your donations will help fund this trip and give the people of la Colonia a better future. Any amount is immensely appreciated!
